Active Power Filter APF for Harmonic Suppression and Power Quality Enhancement
Product Overview
Active power filter (HRDQ-APF) is in contrast to passive power filter. Active power filters counteract the harmonics contained in the bus by actively emitting reverse harmonics. Passive means that the harmonics contained in the busbar are absorbed by the capacitor.
The working principle of the active power filter HRDQ-APF is based on "cancellation compensation". In a three-phase power system, to eliminate harmonic currents, the active power filter collects the current on the grid side, calculates it and emits the same harmonics in the opposite direction, thus eliminating harmonics. Based on the same working principle, active power filters can correct the power factor and generate three-phase sinusoidal current waves to meet the load requirements.
